Art Supply Haul! (Small One!)

Hello my lovelies. How are you all doing today. The weather where I’m at doesn’t know if it wants to be sunny, rain or snow. That is British weather for ya.

Welcome to a small ish art supply art. (I shoulda got those water brush pens!!) So might as well jump in with what I’m excited to use the most.

Winsor & Newton Ink Collection

I’m rather new to using Ink in my art works and had used it once or twice during the Inktober season for 2017. The inks are from Winsor & Newton a brand that I do love using. The water colour and acrylic paints they do are amazing. I’ll be taking part again this year too. I got these from Whsmith and nabbed the colours Purple, Orange and Gold. (The Gold was almost sold out!!) I love the cute little bottles they are in and still trying to decide how to use them. May use the gold for details and will defo be grabbing the white ink next time.

These are gonna be used for my wisp series that I’m slowly working on. Also going to be expertimenting with them to build up an understanding of them so I know how to get the best out of them. Can’t wait to build up more of a collection of these little cuties. They are just to adorable.

More supplies. Pens and Paint brushes.

The brushes are from Winsor & Newton with the cold blue handles. Love this colour combo. But I had actually got this brush set to use with my inks. Love that they are all small in size so great for little detail pieces or giving that little extra. Shall see how that goes and keep you all updated. The 4 piece pen set is by Faber Castell. A brand I haven’t really used before. But intend to try them out. Plan on using them for out lining work and creating more depth in some pieces to. One thing I wish I got was the water brush pens that I saw. They where on sale and I shoulda grabbed them while there. Been wanting to play with them for ages and didn’t bother getting them. They are on my list of supplies to get next time.

I got this haul from Whsmith in the Bluewater Shopping Centre. That place is insanely large. Not a fan of the sheer scale of the place. Mainly due to the amount of people but glad we got there very early.

Have you guys got any art supplies I should get next? Please do recommend them. Until next time my lovelies. Xxx

A Lipsense Review

Hello my lovelies. How are you all doing this morning? Its a kind of grey day here, with some rain. A break from the constant heat which is good in a way.

Today I’m back with a makeup review. And I’ll be honest I am in love with the brand for many reasons. It’s a chance to build your own buisness like Avon plus all about skincare and makeup. I love the lipstick part. And here is why:

Lipsense’s Red Cherry and Dawn Rising
These 2 shades are from Lipsense which is huge in the US at the monent and its slowly making its way over to the UK. The red is Red Cherry which was my first colour. This colour did tingle when I first put it on and was sticky. 3 coats later and I put on my matte moistursing gloss. And it wasn’t sticky. The colour just went pop and looked amazing. A nice red colour which normally I wouldn’t go for.

It did have a strange taste but that did go away after a while. May have just gotten used to it.

Lipsense comes in 3 parts. The colour which goes on 3 times, dried between each application. The gloss goes on last to seal in the colour and the Oops remover is for removing the product. Apparently the colours can be used together!! I haven’t tested that part out yet but will when I have more colors.

It lasted a long time. Could only take off with the Oops remover. I even did the kiss test…….no transfer. Much to my partner’s delight. He hates lippy for some reason. Did the smudge test…….nothing on my fingers.

Me wearing Dawn Rising
Dawn Rising is my second shade. It’s a nude/brown shade and is great for everyday wear. I was greatly surprised at how well the shade worked with my tone.

Lipsense don’t test on animals which is a big thing for me. They have a selection of glosses depending on the finish that your after. From matte, gloss, opal etc

Now for price: the colours are £22 a tube, gloss is £18 and the Oops remover is £10. Pricey when your buying for the first time but I do like the brand. Loved it so much that I even joined the brand. Yes I am a distrubitor of Lipsense and only just started getting into the swing of things.

For now I have got to go lovelies.

Until next time.

A knee-high sock haul.

Hello my lovelies. How are you all on this fine day?? I’ll admit my day has been rather slow. Recently I was looking for some knee high socks. Why? Simple I’m not a fan of tights. Do not like them at all. So I wanted to invest in some decent knee highs that could keep me warm and still look good. And I went and got some from amazon. By the way what’s your opinion on knee high socks?? Do you love them?? Or are you more a tight’s person??

Bear socks. I love these ones. Warm and can be worn with a dress or shorts!! These are so cute with soft fluffy ears with cute little faces. The quality is really good too.

Any cat lovers out there?? These are just as cute. Again can be worn with a dress or shorts. The soft fluffy ears are great and love the black cat vibe. The little pink nose is nawwwww!!

Sporty socks. These are great for wearing under jeans or jeggings. I have these with blue stripes and black with white stripes. The red and blue are my favourite out of these. Plus they’re breatheable and not made to be clamy.

My other black knee high socks. These are just as good but a thinner material. Fab for under jeans and leggings. Plus great to wear on a warmer day, maybe not for winter though. I have these in a lovely burgandy.

And the final set. Not knee high but close enough. I got 3 of these. One a light tan, this baby blue and a soft pastel pink. I do have a problem with these though. My tan ones have began to fray at the top and I’ve only worn them once. Yet these blue ones get worn alot and they haven’t started fraying yet. Same with the pink.

Until next time my lovelies.
