Recycling and Bookmarks.

Good morning my lovelies. What a crazy last few days its been! Hope your all doing really well in this colder weather.

People know I love things like beads. All kinds! Little glass pearls to beautiful jeweled ones. And buttons. Vintage buttons and fabric too! While I love all these little things they can get messy, and go everywhere and I can forget which colours I actually have. So I’m going to give new life to some glass jars that where lying around my house.

My glass containers for my beads.

These little glass jars where once upon a time a lovely choco dessert. Recycling something like this is easy. Got an old sauce jar being used to hold all my paintbrushes. Now they’ve been cleaned and waiting for their new home in my craft room where they will be used to help with all my beads.

Now talking about beads, I’ve been creating some new pieces for my shop. Some of these have even been custom made with the help of my beads.

My custom made bookmarks

Ain’t it pretty. I’m hoping to develop on this design too create even more of these lovely bookmarks for the new year. And maybe get a few cheeky custom orders too! ☺

My bead collection have actually helped inspire my recent makes and I hope to make more in the near future. I love all the different shades of green here.

Do you like reading? What is your favourite book and bookmark?

Until next time my lovelies. Xx

Settled In and Ready To Go!

Foggy and lush outside our house.

Hello my lovelies. Well I can finally say I’m settled into my new house!! Just in time for the winter season too……perfect. During the last few weeks things have been crazy, from trying to sort the house, family and finally passing my driving test! (I can now drive legally, woop) Its been one crazy little roller coaster. But the wait is over and we are finally in our home. I honestly feel like I’m dreaming!

We have most of the larger stuff sorted and now just need to get all the little nic’s & nac’s that make a house a home. I’m so excited however this crazy gal is just happy to be in her own home. No more living in boxes and all the crazy stress of not being able to do certain things.

Things have been quiet on the shop front which is absolutely fine as I wanted to mainly focus on getting my home sorted. Plus with everything that has been going on I’ve not been as focused there as I should be. However keep your eyes peeled for the new year. I’ve got some surprises coming soon for you all.

A little shop update: things are looking good over there. I’ve got loads of new goodies ready for the new year and to top it all off I have my own little studio/office space! It still needs alot work done to it but its defo on the way there and I can not wait to share it with you guys. Personally I can not wait to get in there and get it set up…..only problem is the style of how I want it. I’ve never had a crafting room before so this is new and a little overwhelming.

With this little update I hope to hear from you all soon.

What has you guys excited and nervous?

Until next my lovelies. Xx

Hello Again and Cute Keychains.

Hello my lovelies. It’s been a while hasn’t it. Well to put it the short way I fell outta love with blogging but I have some new ideas and a makeover planned!! Can not wait to share all of this with you, it’s gonna be very exciting!

But lets forget all the sappy stuff and dive into the cute crafty stuff. I’ve been rather busy with my shop and wanted to share some of the items thats there with you guys. A little behind the scenes tour if you will. You can visit my shop here: http://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/SeasonalRoseShop to have a sneak peak at what I have. If you want to see more of something let me know, everything is handmade.

My leaf wisp and psychic wisp.

I made some keyrings! Plus other things with these little cuties and if you follow me on instagram you will see them. These little cuties are made from scupley clay which I got from Amazon. I had never used scupley before so it was a very good learning experience. The will-o-wisps or wisps for short are an original idea of mine and I do hope to make more of them come too life.

Scupley clay wisps getting painted.

I had to mould these little ones into shape, which gave my hands a crazy workout. They where so damn sore afterwards. I then baked them and left them over night to cool. (Silly me didnt think they would take to long to paint!) These took a huge chunk of my day to paint, glaze and add the blush details. I used an eyeshadow pallete for the pink cheeks and to give my acorn wisps a shiny top.

The water droplet wisp and acorn wisp.

Aren’t they so damn cute. I hope to make more of these and use them in other things eventually. I’m thinking bookmarks, mugs, fabrics, little sculptures, basically everthing really.

Well it was great talking to you all, cant wait to speak again.

But until then my lovelies bye.

Xx

Plans and Building in 2018!

Hello my lovelies. How are you all? 2018 is just round the corner and I thought this would once again be a great time to share some plans that I hope to get on the ball in 2018.

PERSONAL

Languages. I’ve always wanted to learn a new language for such a long time and in 2018 I’m so determined to do just that. My place of work has so many languages going on and I love the sound of all of them!!

Swimming. Ross and I plan on going swimming 3 times a week to help with our health. He wants to get healthier and so do I. My breathing has been a damn nightmare and needs sorting. We also plan on being better with our food too!!

Planning, goal setting and journaling. These are personal little goals that I need to work on and keep them going strong. I’ve loved goal setting so far this year. I just need to get my head round the journaling thing. (Everyone else’s journals are so pretty and detailed. Mine is just super plain and boring.)

SHOP

My cute little shop will be worked on a great deal in 2018. I’ve wanted this for years and now that I have it I intend on making it work. Many new ideas are in the works, with some super cuties in development. (Keep an eye on my insta for sneak peaks!) Buisiness cards will be created too and if things go well, a whole website may be in the works. I don’t want to give too much away yet but all I can say is too much cuteness!!

SOCIAL

My plan on being more active on social medias for 2018, this way I can help provide a brilliant level of customer service and people can ask questions. A social media page will be made for the shop too. I’m getting excited that’s for sure!!

Youtube. That was going well but with the lack of a decent camera and editing tools it will take a while to do well. But I don’t plan on giving up on it!!

My blog is going strong and I defo plan on keeping this going. Some updates are needed and maybe a revamp too. Lets see what happens.

So far 2018 looks like it is going to be an amazing year, with saving for a house and hoping to drive next year it looks like an adventure. And I can not wait to see how things turn out. And I hope that you, my lovely readers will continue to support my blog well into 2018.

What are your plans for next year??

Until next time my lovelies. Xx

Patchwork Animal Plushies

Hello my lovelies. How are you all doing on this rather wet looking day? I’ve been great, from working alot on nightshift and making time for crafty adventures.

I really want to show you 2 of my latest pieces I’ve recently made. So here they are, my patchwork animals:

My Patchwork Piggy

This one turned out really well! The felt is from the Dovecraft Essentials in pink. You can you colour theme packs from the Works for £2!! I got loads of different colours. The fabric was from a subrciption box that I used to get. I’m so happy with how this turned out although it got rather annoying with the measurements and then the stuffing part. I didn’t want to over stuff this little one. I love the nose and my blanket stiches here.

My Patchwork Robin

This little guy is a little wonky. I had wanted him to be more circle in shape but it’s either the way I’ve sewn him or stuffed him. The beak is also my first attempt at statin stich on felt!!! While not perfect it went really well. I think I’ll stick to the size of my piggy though as it seems more reasonable in size. But I’m still proud of how the robin turned out.

I have loads more ideas for the Patchwork Animals so keep an eye on the shop. May even make some cute fruit and other bits too. Super enjoying the sewing time and the creative side. Also nice to see some of my fabrics getting used!!

Any advice or recommendations are highly welcome for getting better.

Until next time folks. Xx

Shop Is Open! And Youtube!

Hello my lovelies. How are you all today? Hope your all ready for the weekend! It’s certainly been a very busy week for me. So many things have been happening and I finally feel like things are moving in the right direction. Plans and dreams that I’ve had for years have finally had their seeds planted!

Some of you may know that I’ve been wanting to open a shop for a long time now and I finally done it!! I’m so happy and excited to announce that I now have an Etsy shop!

And here is a link to that shop. My Etsy Shop

20171019_144544
My button coin purse. Hand made and hand stitched.

I love this button coin purse. It was easy to make and it was very pleasing to finally use some of the fabric that I’ve been accumulating over the last year or two for something. I much prefer the rounded corners than the shape ones. (Made that mistake with my first one!) I’m hoping to get better with sewing zips on and more complex embroidery. 🙂

The shop contains some other hand made pieces and one painting. I hope to get more stock in in the coming weeks and hope you all enjoy. Having this shop is giving me a great little push that I need to be more creative and gain more skill in hand embroidery. Keep an eye out for more work to come. I have some exciting things in store and can not wait to share them all with you.

Now onto the second part. My Youtube Channel

Since blogging I’ve always had a growing interest in youtube or vlogging. And after much debate with myself I realized that I didn’t have anything too loose and went for it. I’ve only got a few videos up and still have much to learn/get. Such as editing equipment, an sd card that will work with my camera (it’s an older model but works perfectly) and some decent lighting. But that will all come in time but for now I’m really enjoying it.

I hope you enjoy and until next time my lovelies.

A Lipsense Review

Hello my lovelies. How are you all doing this morning? Its a kind of grey day here, with some rain. A break from the constant heat which is good in a way.

Today I’m back with a makeup review. And I’ll be honest I am in love with the brand for many reasons. It’s a chance to build your own buisness like Avon plus all about skincare and makeup. I love the lipstick part. And here is why:

Lipsense’s Red Cherry and Dawn Rising
These 2 shades are from Lipsense which is huge in the US at the monent and its slowly making its way over to the UK. The red is Red Cherry which was my first colour. This colour did tingle when I first put it on and was sticky. 3 coats later and I put on my matte moistursing gloss. And it wasn’t sticky. The colour just went pop and looked amazing. A nice red colour which normally I wouldn’t go for.

It did have a strange taste but that did go away after a while. May have just gotten used to it.

Lipsense comes in 3 parts. The colour which goes on 3 times, dried between each application. The gloss goes on last to seal in the colour and the Oops remover is for removing the product. Apparently the colours can be used together!! I haven’t tested that part out yet but will when I have more colors.

It lasted a long time. Could only take off with the Oops remover. I even did the kiss test…….no transfer. Much to my partner’s delight. He hates lippy for some reason. Did the smudge test…….nothing on my fingers.

Me wearing Dawn Rising
Dawn Rising is my second shade. It’s a nude/brown shade and is great for everyday wear. I was greatly surprised at how well the shade worked with my tone.

Lipsense don’t test on animals which is a big thing for me. They have a selection of glosses depending on the finish that your after. From matte, gloss, opal etc

Now for price: the colours are £22 a tube, gloss is £18 and the Oops remover is £10. Pricey when your buying for the first time but I do like the brand. Loved it so much that I even joined the brand. Yes I am a distrubitor of Lipsense and only just started getting into the swing of things.

For now I have got to go lovelies.

Until next time.

My Goals for 2017.

Well it’s nearly the end of 2016, and I’ll be honest I haven’t been the best at smashing any goals I’ve set. I would love to say so much was happening and I got distracted (in a way I did!!) But I’d also be lying. I became lazy and fell outta love with many a thing. Although I did hit some targets.
I don’t do resolutions. It makes things sound so final. But I do love setting goals and targets. They help in so many ways. And I have a few set for next year that I do intend too keep. Here are a few:

Blog Growth

I’d love to see my blog grow next year however I know that totally depends on the content I write and mainally if you, my lovely readers enjoy what I write. I do have a number in mind but this blog will only grow naturally, with a great deal of dedication and a ton of grinding. (Maybe develop on my photography, writing and a little coding!) I also want Seasonal-Rose to become a little more fashion based but I have a feeling that things will change a great deal. Watch this space!!

Esty – Start up the Shop/Buisness

Next year is when I hope to start building up on the dream. A small shop. It’s something I’ve wanted for a while and I plan on making it happen. From embroidery, upholstery, custom pieces to little bits like badges or pins. Blankets, throws, cushions and even clothes. I am hoping to get it up and running soon. I will be using the blog to show case a great deal of my work along with instagram. Hope too see you there.

Travel

Sight-seeing. Growing my knowlegde base. I really want to travel more and hope to get my passport soon to allow this to happen on a greater scale. I love other cultures, languages and fashion. Seeing it in person will be a better experience. Milan, New York, LA, Tokyo, Hong Kong…….so many more!!!

Savings

This is a big one!! There are so many things that I would love to have…….car, our own house, a camera etc but I’m hoping to build upon my fiances next year in a way that will continue to grow and help towards a more secure future for myself.

Education

This is a tricky one. While I want to stay at college and progress futher into my education. I’ve noticed that I won’t learn certain things like corset making, hand stiching to name a few while at college. So I’m currently torn for this one. But either way I will continue to learn, I’m far to stubborn to give up. Whether I decide to go the self taught root or not remains to be seen. But I’m currently working on a few projects for Christmas.

These are only a few of the goals I wish to meet. All I can really say is that I don’t want to be in the same place I am now, this time next year.

Do you have any goals for next year that you want to share?? How do you hope to achieve them?

Until next time lovelies.

Xx

Younique. The review!

Hello my beauties. Hope you’ve all had a fantastic weekend! My sister recently decided on a small beauty adventure and has decided to drag me along for the ride! Basically be your own kind of boss like in Avon. We enrolled, and got sent some products that I can’t wait to show you all!!!

These are just a few of the full size products, the rest are mainly testers. But who cares, these are amazing and I’ll share with you why. For starters the packaging is great. I mainly like the Bon Bons lipbalm packaging. The colour is great and compliments the other black packaging well. Plus you have to turn the lid, not just pull it. They do a skin range too that I am yet to try. Also Younique don’t test on animals and help support victims od abuse. A win win for me I think.

I love these swatches. The lighter pink is the Lip BonBons tinted lip balm in ‘Red Velvet Cake’ a nice toned down pink that leaves the lips soft. With a gentle pink hue. It can be worn on it’s own or I think you could have it underneath a lippie.

Now onto the darker swatch. Deep breathe!! How pigmanted is that! It’s Younique’s Splash liquid lipstick in ‘Sentimental’ I barely needed to use the whole product on the wand for this. The colour is a gorgeous deep mauve, perfect for the season! Plus it’s not sticky and gives a great matte finish. (Defo using a good lipbalm underneath this!) If you want to take a look at some of their other products or this one, here is a link for you- https://youniqueproducts.com/SineadBeaumont1995

And finally for all those eye lovers. I haven’t forgotten about you! This little palette is their Addiction 4 Palette in ‘Moonstruck’ A nice mix of shimmer and matte colours, with 4 lovely warm, earthy brown tones. And 3 cool tones. I love the shade ‘Triumphant’ and ‘Brave’ such gorgeous colours.

Younique and customer’s say that their products are just as good as Mac, but I can’t make a comment. I don’t own any Mac products to compare them too! The liquid lippies are at £21 each (really want Superstitious!) The Moondust palette is at £38 each. Love the colour palette’s. And the Lip Bonbons are at £18 each. (Can I have one of each please!)

If you want to have a noisy about I’ll leave another link here for you all to check out.

Let me know your thoughts folks. Until next beauties.
