Brow Challenge.

Good afternoon darlin’s. I have been watching loads of vlogs lately, and I noticed in each one that theses gorgeous women all had amazing eye brows! (Just realised how creepy that sounds!) I have really broken eye brows and they are patchy, i guess that is the best way to describe them. So this morning I set about trying to sort my brows out and make them some what respectable. It was rather painful plucking them, then I set about fillimg them.

I somehow own an eyebrow pencil in dark brown. This was the first way I tried too fill in my brows. It was a little difficult, mostly due to poor lighting and the fact I had no clue what I was doing. Then I tried the second way with eye shadow. (Sounds strange I know) I used the colour ‘Busted’ in the Urban Decay’s Naked 2 palette. Its the second last one in the photo. I found that it looked softer and a little more natural. Sorry I haven’t put any pics up, I just want them to look a little better! 😄
Do you gals do your brows?? Any tips or pointers? Xx

  1. Hi there! Your post is great and I think a lot of people think the same. With big, shaped brows being so fashionable right now there’s a lot of pressure to achieve the same look.

I would personally say that a great starting point is realising that ‘less is more’ and not to rush. It can be so temping to just outline the brows and essentially colour them in but this usually creates quite an unatural look.

Try starting at the end of the brow. With a pencil gently shade from this part to the arch. Then take the pencil softly (applying only small pressure) through the bottom of the brown to the start. This will create a rough shape that you can use as a guide. Try to blend this gently with the pencil in upwards strokes in the direction of your hairs and then move onto a powder to fill in the rest of the brow. The key (like with most make up) is to add little amounts and build up to create the desired shade and shape! I hope this helps and I will try to put a quick tutorial up on my blog soon so keep an eye out! 🙂 Xxx
